WEST END SCHOOL.
A "WIND-UP" BALL. The masquerade, fancy and pla>ri dress ball held in the West End gymnasium last night as a ''wind up" to'the winter series of euchre parties in aid of the school funds was very largely attended, too much so in tile early portion of the evening. The hall was gay with flags, '(.here were numerous fancy dresses, with wearers masked till supper time, and «ome of the costumes displayed considerable originality, particularly that of the old lady. Mrs. fleorge's orchestra, supplied capital music, and Messrs W. McLean and A. Wilson were M.C.'s Supper was served in the schoolroom, and was of (lie West End ladies' best. No further description ol this part »f the affair is required. The function must he classed as an unqualified success. The school committee is greatly indebted to friends, and particularly to Mr. and Mrs. 00. Blauchard, for valuable assistance rendered durin» tile 'whole series of socials. "
