THE PETONE. The Petone (Blackball Coal Co.'e collier) arrived last night with 430 tons of coal, 400 of which is for the Railway Departnieai, and 50 for private consumers. She -dropped anchor last night and berths this morning;, when unloading operations will commence.
Mr. Douglas has joined the Xoonya as third engineer in place of Mr. Aimors, who transfers to the Aparima..
The barquentinc St. Kilda, which arrived at Hobart on Monday, w to load hardwood at that port for New Plymouth.
The Northern Co.'s auxiliary boow Albatross, being unable to work Wai' tara yesterday owui" to a fresh in the river, came on to the breakwater for shelter, it is expected that the Albatross will be able to get into Waitara to-day.
