LOCAL BILL. is hereby given that it 13 the intention of tlie New Plymouth Harbour Board to promote and endeavour to have -passed into Law at the next ensuing Session of Parliament, a Bill the Short Title whereof is "The New Plymouth Harbour Reclamation Act, 1909." The objects which the Bill-is intended to effect are:— (1) To enable the said Board, subject to the provisions of "The Harbours Act, 1908," from time to time to fill up and reclaim from the sea the lands described in the First and Second Schedules to the said Bill or any part thereof and to enter into any contract for the execution of.any works necessary or expedient in or about the filling up or reclamation of such lands. 2, To vest the said lands in the New Plymouth Harbour Board as an endowment for the purposes for which it is constituted. To merge in the proposed new County all Road Districts wichin the boundaries of such nev.' County. To abolish the jurisdiction of ,tnv local authority other than the Kaitake County Council, over any roads er over or in relation to any matter or thing in respect of which jurisdiction i 3 conferred upon a County Council under any Act.
