Bates'j weather forecast: Northerly w-.nds arc] probable generally, moderate to strong north of Kawhia, Taupo, and Napier; strong to gale elsewhere. Hign pio.ur. still holds sway, especially, in the nort.i, but a westerly area of low pressure, due to pass over the south within the next 36 hours, appears to be intensifying, and will probably cause Tain and some snowalso on high country south of New Plymouth and Napier, and changeable weather further northwards.
