The New Plymouth East Flying Club held a rncc from Ongarue yesterday, nine members sending live birds each. The fine weather enabled the birds to put up good times, Results: W. H. Boulton'sl "Cavalier," 1 hour HI min., first; I''. James' "Aeroplane," 1 hour 31 min. 22 sec, second; U. McGahey's "Airship," 1 hour 31 min. 27 sec, and (', 11, Wright's -Arist." third (dead heat); A. Lovcgrovc's "(i I Buck," 1 hour . .Ilium. 30 sec, fourth. The next race will lie an interval one from Palmerston North, where the birds will be liberated by Mr. T. Richards.
