CONGRESS AT GENEVA.
A CONSTITUTION DEJIAXUED., By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyrigtt London, September li. One hundred and twenty Egyptian delegates, llr. Keir_ Hardie and Mr. C. X. Humes, British 'Labor members, attended the Young Egypt Oongres* at Geneva.
Ahmed Farid, Chief of the National Party, declared that they would never asked llritiiin for a constitution, but of tht! Khedive, and that they woiliil soon obtain it.
Hamid Alaidy read a paper in English, declaring that it was not England's business to put down anarchy in Egypt any' more than in Mexico or Poland.
A telegram, was despatched the House of Commons of Britain's ieiterated promise to evacuate Egypt, also one to Hilmi Pasha, Grand Vizier of Turkey, begging him to use his influence with Britain to secure the withdrawal of troops.
Mr. T. M. Kettle, Nationalist member lor Tyrone, assured the Congress of sympathy in the struggle and added that she had outstayed her welcome in Egypt. Mr. Keir Hardie promised to defenl Egypt's cause in the House of Commons.
THE DEMANDS OF THE CONGRESS.
September 1(1, 10.45 p.m. London, September 1(1. .Mr. Keir Hardic presided at a Ann) meeting of the Geneva Congress, which resolved to demand the evacuation of Egypt, representative government, liberty of the press, and free schools.
