Bardsley gave an exhibition of flee leg-side play. 110 batted for 70 mimnes and completed his 2000 runs for the season.—One for 93.

NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the New PI •■ mouth Cricket Club was held last evening, Mr. W. C. Weston presiding. Abo it ■'. dozen members attended. BALANCE-SHEET.
The annual report was read as under:-
', "In presenting their annual report t the last general meeting of the club in September, 1908. your committee were able to congratulate you upon a most successful season. We much regret that we are unable to offer you felicitations upon the present occasion. The Wnderers (late East End), the holders of the Robertson Cup i n 1908, were '.i«; season bracketed with liovers (late West End), and your junin,- eleven, ihv holders o[ the junior shield, fell to third place. _The Club entered a team in the Saturday competition, which .was revived last season, and after a eios.-i finish won the trophy. At the fir-it meeting of the committee it was dceidod to revert (o the old club n ames of Wandorers and Rovers. At the same time the old boundaries were altered—Broil"ham street, with the onward side 'f Devon street to Liardet street, now forming the dividing line between the East and West districts. The praeiice wiekets laid down hv the Club w\''\ Longburn soil i n the Sports Ground, were available for play after t'hri-ir-mart, ami proved very satisfactory. It was hoped that Western Park would have been available for play this seasi.n, but the,ground is i„ so rough n conuition that it has been doemwf inadvisable to attempt any work there for the prosent. The Tukapa ground has ajfjin been scoured by the club, and the pitch put In order for play.- The Club has a credit balance of £S 19s, and in addition, to this has material valued at C 25 10s, so the finances may he said to be in a healthy stale. There are no on!, standing subscriptions. The Club 'via lost the services of their late spcretiirv. Mr. C. O. Berg, who on his removal tn Wanganui was presented by mcmbeis with a travelling bag. as a mark <n their appreciation of his valuable woil; on their behalf, and it is mainly due to him thai; the finances of the Club are in so satisfactory n condition. Mo=t .1 last year's players are available for the I coming Reason, and with the addition of several new members it is hop d that the club will be able to render a good ncc'iiiir. of itsdf in the cup matches of 1909-10."
In moving the adoption of Iho rcp.i,-. tlii' cliairninn mentioned the good sciviees that had been rendered to the Hub by the secretary. .Mr. If. (,'. Officers were appointed for the ensuing season an under:—President, Hon. O. Samuel (re-elected); vice-presidents. Dr. Walker, Messrs D. Tend, W. Bewleyj Club captain, Mr. E. Whittle; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. M. G. Williams; general committee. Messrs Elliott, Price, L. Hill, to till the thr.n: vacancies; delegates to the Association, Messrs Elliott, Williams, Lash, and captain of the junior team; delegates to Sports Ground Committee, Mr. IT. GENERAL.
It was decided that the High Scho)l and Central School be each allowed to nominate two hoys to be members of the Club.
Resolved that two senior teams and one junior team be put in the field a-j.l also a Saturday team if sufficient members are available.
It was decided that the opening match be played on the Tukapa ground Thursday next, teams to be selected on the ground. The question of boundaries was loft in the hands of the general committso to deal with.
'Die secretary reported that Carrington Road wished ta play friendly matches next Thursday week, junior una senior, the former to he played on the Carringtiin road and (he senior match on tl)» Tukapn ground.—The committee was empowered to deal with the matter.
The question of ground was discussed and it was decided that the Chili donate £2, 2s for improving the pitch and that a list be circulated amongst players to ace what could ho secured, A member present opened the list with
The members' subscriptions were fix ed at £1 for senior and 10s for juniors, seniors under 19 year* to pay junior fiub.
The delegates were instructed to confer with the Cricket Association on the matter of the rule regarding light. It was decided that the Association be requested to consider the question of the appointment of umpires for the season.
To encourage junior players it ivas decided to award caps 'waring club "olors to junior members playing in ty.othirds of the matches.
A member of the Club donated a bat, pair of batting gloves, and set of pads,' to be competed for by the juniors, the committee to award the donation as they think proper. The offer was accepted with thanks.
