A VALUABLE OFFER.
IROM ME. CLEMENT WRAGGE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, Last Night. Mr. Clement Wraggc, the noted meteorologist, who intends to take up his residence in Nelson, nas made an important offer to the trustees of the local museum'. Mr. Wraggc, in the course oi a letter to the secretary, states that in the course »t fc t . nv.'h he has made collections of specimens in conchology, geology, and eihnographv, which are n ow housed 171 different parts of the world. Out of these he offers to add to the museum very considerably, the collection to be lent for the to.vn for ten years. Tf at the end of that time it has been well cared for a;id appreciated, he undertakes to present it to the town on condition that he be a life trustee and honorary curator and his son after him; he to classify and arrange the collection.
Mr. W raggc also states his intention of erecting an astronomical and independent weather service, and establishing a radium service. The letter wU be referred to the City Council.
