The proposal is to elevate a kite a thousand feet at Cornwall, to collect the Hertzian waves. If this proves euocnsful the authorities will erect n station *t * Gihralter. Tho cost will be £50,000 for each station. If the system proves successful the South African Union t>o vernment will grant £IOOO per annum to reduce the proposed general service shilling-a-word tariff by a penny. A grant of £IXI,OOO would" mnko the r»£6 a penny a word.
