ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A CHILD DROWSED. j By Telegraph.—Press Association. Stratford, Monday. A child named Clarence John Peterson, eighteen months old, was found drowned in a creek at Kiore on Saturday aftornoon. At an inquest yesterday a verdict of accidental death from drowning was returned.
A MTAL fall from a team. Auckland, Monday. Andrew McLeod, aged 48, fell aff a tramcar on Saturday afternoon, and was found fo be suffering from concussion of the brain. He was removed to the hospital, where he died yesterday. OLD MAN BROWNED. Gore, Monday. A pensioner named Wm. Stokes, 73 years of was found drowned in the Wending creek, Waikaia, last evening. INQUEST. Chrifitchurch, Last Night. FATALLY KNOCKED OVER BY A BICYCLE.
Dunedin, Last Niglit. Mrs. Thomas Bishop, aged 84 years of age, an old resident of Balclutha, died this afternoon as the result of an accident yesterday. While- ehe and her daughter were walking to church yesterday morning a cyclist named Ingram collided with her 'while endeavoring to pass a trap, knocking her down. She appeared to be recovering from the effects of the accident, but this morning she became worse and sank rapidly, the cause of death being hemorrage of the brain.
