ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
[ FATALITY ON THE AIiAWA. By Telegraph.—Pres3 Association. i Wellington, September 11. James T. Asquitjh, a married man, aged about 50, employed by a local stevedore, fell down a hold of the Soaw, Savill and Albion steamer Aravra at the Queen's wharf this morning and sustained suoh injuries that he died ten minutes after being picked up. Wellington, La s t Night. At the mquest on James Tasquith, who fell down the hold of Hie Arawa on Saturday, a verdict of accidental death was returned.
DROWNED WHILE SWIMMING. Auckland, Last Night. ■ James E. Crowley, aged 38, a saloon steward of the steamer Flora, was drowned on Saturday afternoon. The steamer was loading lime at Limestone Island, and deceased went in for a swim. He is believed to have been seized with crump.
