STOCK MARKETS. NBWTON KING'S REPORT. At the Haymarkct on Saturday there was a very large attendance of buyers, the attraction being the unreserved sale of horses on account of Mr. A. N. Mills. Light draughts made £22 to £25 10s, unbroken three and four-year-olds £8 to £lO ss, iivc-ycar-ola mare by Berlin Abba £2l, stylish gig horses £2l to £22, .hacks and others £3 5s to £0 15s. The pedigree Clydesdales were passed in. On account of other vendors, hacks £5 103 to £0 ss, harness horse £l2 10s. There was a large entry of pigs, small wenncre making 7s (id to 10s, good do. 10s Od to 14s, small stores 15s to 26s 6d, calf 10s, dog 13s. At Toko on Monday yearling heifers made 30s od, yearling steers £2 6s 6d, 2y 2 -year do. £3 76, store cows £2 6s 6d to £2 os, springing Heifers £4 9s to £5 17s Od, springing cows £3 12s 6d to £5 12s 6d, bull £1 lis. At Stratford on Tuesday there was a good yarding of cattle. Weaners made 20s to 22s 6d, yearling steers 32s to 42s 03, mixed yearlings 22s 6d to 30s, oightecn-months steers £2 12s 6d, twoyear do. £3 2s, empty heifers £2 13s I to £3, empty Jersey heifers £3 09 6d, store cows £2 to £2 18s, fat do. £4 Us, fat heifers £4 10s. On Wednesday at Corbctt Road I held a clearing sale of Mr. Charles Clarke's surplus stock of Jerseys. The weather was very wet and rough in the morning, but in spite of this there was a large and representative attendance of buyers, .good prices being realised right through the sale. The cold, rough weather did not tend to improve the appearance of the cattle, which were not looking at their best, and but for this higher prices might reasonably have been expected. On the Ist instant we held our monthly sale of the alßovc, and submitted a good catalogue to a full complement of buyers. Prices for hides ruled at about late rates, heavy cows' in good condition being particularly., eagerly sought for, and were inclined to show a slight advance. Ox sold at about last month's rates for heavies and mediums, while lights were inclined to ease a little. Skins were slightly better, and showed an advance of about 5 per cent. Tallow and sundries sold at about late rates. VKZKERS & STEVENS' REPORT. Owing to the rough weather on Wednesday last there was only a, small yard ing of cattle. Springers made from £3 15s to £O, store cows £2 10s to £3. At the mart on Saturday there was a good entry of pigs. Wcaners made from lis to 13s. two to three months old pigs Us to IDs, stores £1 2s Od to £1 ss, sows in pig £2 2s fid to £4 ss. AUCKLAND.

Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:— Horses: On Friday at the Durham yards heavy draughts sold at from £2O 5s to £34, medium do. £lB to £3l, hacks and light harness horses £5 56 to £2O.

At Panakura on Wednesday dairy cows sold at from £5 15s to £9 12s 6d, heifers £4 7s 6d to £7 12a 6d, other sorts £2 15s to £5 15s, empty cows £2 to £3 lis, grown steers £5 10s to £0 ss, two to three-year-old do., £3 8a to £5 ss, yearlings' £1 lis to £2 lis, calves 18s to £1 13s, beef at Newmarket rates.

On Thursday wo held a sale of live and dead stock on account of Mr. J. Jolly, Patumahoo. Dairy cows sold at from £5 10s to £lO, heifers £4 15s to £.7 15s, horses £26 to £35. Cattle: At the Nownuirkct yards on Tuesday dairy cows sold at from £3 10a to £7 15s, empty cows £2 2s to £3 Is, calves 18s to £2 7s. Beef was penned in average quantitie* and sold at last week's rates. Oxen sold up to 21s per 1001b, and cows 17a to 10s. Steers sold at from £6 16s to £lO 12s Od, cows £3 10s to £7 ss.

Sheep: The Newmarket yards .were well filled on Tuesday. Wethers sold at from 13s to 19s, «wcs 10s 6d to 18s Od, hoggets 10s 6d to 14s spring lambs 12s Od to 17s.

Pigs: Porkers sold at from £1 Is to £2 4s, wcaners 10s 6d to 14s 9d, baconers £2 12s to £3 Is.

On Monday wo hold a special dairy sale at Puke'kohc, and yarded 280 cows and heifers. Cows close to profit sold at from £6 5s to £lO ss, 'backward springers £4 to £6, heifers close to profit £5 10s to £lO 17s Bd, others £3 10s to £5 10s, bulls £3 to £5 10s.
