IF • THE POSITION AT MOTUKOA. IThe work of re-constructing the derrick is being pushed on. Part of the plant at No. 4 is to be transferred temporarily. During Thursday night ten barrels of oil flowed from the bore on its own ac count, and the whole of the 400 gallons were eaved. THE MOKAU DISTRICT. Several local gentlemen are not content to drop the idea of prospectiag for •petroleum at the Mokau district, and it is probable that a syndicate will be formed. Mr. W. T. Jennings. M.P., Ins been approached with a view of arranging for Or. Bell, the Government Ge'olo-1 gist, to carry out a geological survey of the locality.
