THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association.' Wellington, Last Night. The concluding sitting of the general council of the New Zealand Christian Endeavor Union was held this afternoon. There was some discussion in respect to the projected correspondence school. It'was resolved that for six classes in the course different examiners should be appointed, representing the respective provinces. The five following appoincments were made:—Auckland, ,W. H. Newton; Wellington, Rev. W. Shirei; Canterbury, R. Gebbie; We.,l. Coast, Rev. J. C. Jamieson; Otago, Re,-. J. Knowles. The appointment of the sixth examiner was left to the executive.

. A motion was carried regretting that unforeseen circumstances would prevent l>r. Chapman and Mr. Alexander visiting Sew Zealand at the close of their Australian. tour. The council expressed its pleasure at the prospect of seeing them here in 1911.

O. R. N. Mackie was deputed to act as the council's representative "to the Christian Eendeavor Convention at Agra this yeaT. It was resolved that in the three centres other than Wellington efforts should foe made to issue a magazine similar to the Wellington "C.E. Advocate."

The secretary reported that the "increase banner" had been won by the Worth Otago Union.

Instructions were issued to the executive to endeavor to form unions ia the provinces of Hawke's Bay, Nelson and (Faranaki.

It was recommended that the president should visit various paTts of the Dominion during his term of office, the expenses to be borne by the unions visited.

The council resolved that the executive should make arrangements for suitable insignia to be handed on to each incoming president.

In connection with the next Convention it wasl agreed that in the event of the constitution proving unworkable with reference to the place of meeting, the executive be directed to arrange for it being held in Auckland.
