The Kotuku, winch was scheduled to arrive here oa Sunday evening iTom ' Westport and Greymouth with a cargo I of coal, passed on to Onehunga. making l tnis port on her return journey to-mor-row. THE KOONYA. f \ The Koonya will arrive here early this 11 morning from Bluff and other Southern i ports. She has about 200 tons oif cargo to land here. After discharging shj leaves for Westport and Greymejuth. THE CORIXNA. f The Oorinna arrived late lr t st night' j from Onehunga. This morning she loads , about 40 tons of cargo for Wellington, including about 1500 boxes of butter, 1188 of which are for transl lipment to the Corinthic.
THE ROSAMOND./ The Rosamond is due abont 7 o'clock this morning from Onoiurnga. She lins a few ton? of cargo for tins port. She sails later for Xelson. P'icton and Wellington. ■SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITION" IX THE _ SOUTH SEAS. The .N'omdeutsi'hur-L lovd steamer Xatuna, whicli is eaTrvSng a scientific expedition to the various South! Sea Islands, arrived at Apia (Samoa) from a cruise to tile Cook Groo.p, Tahiti and Hie Paumotos, on Tuesday, August 5. (11l the voyage from Samoa to Raratongii the Xatuna met *with some v-ery heavy weather, being able to ■. sfcceim only 80 miles per day against it. « She visited the Cook Islfiuds. Ailstral Islands, Tubuai, Tahiti., and Papeete, remaining at tile last-named place for 'six days, after which; she proceeded to Paumotos. The Natona, returned to Papeete on July SO and left 1 for Samoa direct on' July 20. She will afterwards call at New Giuueit and the Solomons.
