WELLINGTON SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the Supreme Court yesterday, Alfred Binder, for common assault, was sentenced to three months' hard labor. John Tanered, charged with breakhg and entering, in wlhosc case two juries had failed to agree, was remanded on bail till next criminal, sittings. Henry McGill' 'was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment for receiving stolen property. Richard Henry Pratt, charged with stealing cattle at Xgahauranga, was found not guilty.
A TRAM FATALITY
Auckland, Saturday. In the Supreme Court to-day, in respect of the charge of manslaughter arising out of a fatal tramway accident at Onehunga, the jury found no caic against Hally, the motorman, and be .was discharged. In the cifcc against Berkett, the conductor of the tram, who was charged with manslaughter, the jury returned a verdict of "guilty." Sentence was deferred till llonday.
