She'brought 175 tons of cargo, including 10 tons of sugar, 17 tons of flour, 18 tons of manure, 08 tons o' cement and lime, 600 pipes, and 513 cases of (fruit. THE ROSAMOND. The Rosamond is due about 10 o'clock this morning from Wellington and will have about 55 tons of cargo for this port. She sails after discharging for Onehunga, returning on Tuesday. THE CORINNA. The Corinna is due from southern ports early HMs morning, aad Trill have about 770 tons of cargo to discharjre here. THEKOTUKU. The Kotuku (U.S.B. Co.'s collier) is due to-mormw nigh* wfth a cargo of coal from Greymouth and Westport.
THE MANAKAU BAR. Saye Thursday's Auckland Herald:— The weather again set in bad on the west toast last Tuesday, and throughout . yesterday a heavy westerly gale prevailed, especially off'th Masiakau Heads,. With a turbulent sea running, and the Poar in an angry condition, the Union Company's Kotukn experienced a rough time, crossing outwards from Onehunga. yesterday, but the Northern Company s Rimu would not essay the trip, and remained ait anchor inside the Heads. As the day wore on the gale increased in violence, with the sea breaking badly ion the Manukau bar. Communication with the signal station made it clear that "uhe bar was unworkable, and ac- , cordingly the departure of the Rarawa for New Plymouth was postponed until this morning. During yesterday the Marmkau bar was in a very rough condition, an 3 Jarge quantities of wal*r Ibrolce over *the stone breastwork appro»eb of the wharf at Onehunga. In • fact; it'was so rough that Mr. J. Sha'd> j-ick,-local manager to the Northern •■ Company, expressed the opinion that he nad jiot (known ft to be worse during his 29 years' experience.
