The Rimu then towed the Rothesay to Ouehunga.

LARGEST DREDGER IX THE WORLD. ' Recently a large party of members oi the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and shipping officials had an opportunity of inspecting the new dredger Leviathan at work in deepening the approaches to the port. The •.party went down the Channel in the Dock Board tender Galatea, and saw the Leviathan, which is the largest dredger in the 'world, removing sand from a depth of 170 ft at the rate of 10,000 tons in fifty minutes. Before leaving tihe flaktea, Sir Alfred Jones said they were all proud of he Dock Board for the determination to keep Liverpool one of the -foremost ports in the world. The chairman of the Board said they had now an average depth of 31ft at low .water. The new HuddarUParker tng is to he the most powerful of her class in Australasia.
