SUDDEN DEATH. by Telegraph.-l'imm Association. Gisbomc, Last Night. W. D. Livick, chief clerk at the local Post Oll'ice, died suddenly this evening. He was watching the Salvation Army in the street, when lie lurched and fellheavily 011 the sidewalk, expiring shortly after. He was' said to be subject- to , heart disease. Deceased was 54 years 1 of age, and came from Thames in Alarcn of last year. He joined the Civil Sendee Ihi the early seventies. He leaves a | I widow aiid'a grown-up son and daughter. KNOCKED DOWN BY A TRAIN. Wellington, Last Night. A man named Harold Handle or Uanall, about 4*i icars of age, understood to h.' a resident of Marton, was found on the railway line this evening, having been knocked down by a train. The accident doe- not seem to have been witnessed by anybody, The injured m.ui is unconscious in the hospital siili'ering from etinussioti of the brain, and perhaps a fracture of the skull, though this i -is not certain at the time of telegraph-
