WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is Rev. D. C. Bates' weather forecast:—Heavy rain ( is probable generally, with a further fall in the barometer and strong northerly and westerly iwinds in most parte of the country. During the past seven hours the barometer has fallen as annch as half an inch in iplaces north of Westport and Kaikoura, and northerly gales are now reported at Gape Maria. Van Dieman, East Cape, Cape Egmont and Russell, but though the barometer is low the gradients and winds are not high elsewhere at present.
