7 LADIES'TOUKNAMENT. ' The. Ngamotu Golf Club has receive! excellent entries for the ladies' tournament, to be played on the club's links to-day and to-morrow. There are 37 contestants, of whom 23 are Xgamotu players, while there are representatives from VVanganui (6), Hawera (3), Stratford (3), Inglewood (1), and Waitara (H.I Most of these players have entered 'or all the events. The programme comprises six events—two medal handicaps, a bogey handoicap, an approaching competition, a driving competition, and a continuous putting competition. A pme will also be given for the best gross aggregate of the two medal handicaps. This will be the first ladies' tournament held by the club, and judging by the number of entries received the meeting should be a successful one.

WANGANUI v. NGAMOTU LADIES. On Thursday morning an inter-club match will be played between a team of nine or ten ladies from the Wangs- - nui club and a team of Ngamotu ladies. Bix members of the Wanganui team wll be competing at the tournament, and ♦he otters will arrive on Wednesday evening. This match will be finished in Hie morning in order to allow some of the Waaganui players to retur south by % the mid-day train.
