Wheat.—The matket U inactive. Buyers are indisposed to deal owing to t«e uncertainty of the result of the world's harvests. The weather here is unfavorable. This is counterbalanced by lower American prices and the pressure to sell Russian and Canadian wheats. There is little inquiry for cargoes. Australian afloat is quoted at 4*2s to 42s Od; loading, 4ls (Id; new crop, Deeember-January shipment, 38s Dd; January-February shipment, 38s Od. Spot trade is quiet. Quotations: Australian, 44s to 455; Jfew Zealand, long-berry 42s to 435, shortberry 41s 6d to 42s 6d. Flour.—The trade is dragging.
