DON'T ENCOURAGE "DANGLERS."
Many families have a few young m"n of the "dangler" type on their reserve list. They arc "called out" to take the place of "some more eligible man woo writes on the very morning of a dinnc--party his sineere regrets that he is usable to fulfil .his engagement. A jvire to amiable young Sprightly brings back a delighted '*\es.' lie turns up and takes the place of the defaulting diner, with a good-humored forgiveness; of the obvious fnot that he was decidedly the last choice of his hostess. And gradually, he assumes the position of dangler-in-ehief to one particular dnughfor dangler-in-general to the girls of household. The bona fide masculine admirers get anioved at finding him always on the spot,"like a statue' in the park. He gets on their nerves. Whenever they look m casually or call on Sundays you.ig Sprightly has managed to get thete| first. * Mothers who encourage "followers of this description are making a great mistake.
