WEDDING.

CARPENTER—DOYLE. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at the Roman Catholic Church, Opunakc. jon Wednesday last., whon Mary, eldest j daughter of Air. M. The bride also wore the orthodox veil 1 ?nd orange blossoms and a diamond and sapphire brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. and carried a shower bouquet of snowdrops and m'aidenhait fern. The bride was attended W Miss Carpencer (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss Dr. Doyle (sister of the bride). Miss Carpenter wore a cream Tussore silk lusti*. trimmed with ovcrlnce pale blue silk dress, -white felt hat trimmed -with pale Muc silk and wings, and a diamond and niby ring, the gift of the bridegroom; Miss Doyle wearing a white silk dress ; and white hat with silk wings, and a .gold and opal brooch, the gift of the, bridegroom. Mr. J. Duggan acted as, beftt man. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Menard, the' guests afterwards adjourning to the' Town Kail, where a sumptuous weddingj breakfast was partaken of, the usual toasts being duly honored with many 1 expressions of goodwill for their future happiness. The happy couple received . numerous telegrams of congratulation from all parts of the district. The presents were numerous and costly. In the evening the hapnv couple loft, amid showers of rice, for their future home ot Riverlea. The bride's travelling costume was of hluc cloth, and she wore a Merry Widow hat trimmed with cre'ira silk wings.
