LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmereton N., Last Night. Another delightful day was experienced by golfers to-day. In the second round of the Manawatu Challenge Cup and championship, the only close he.it was Miss Snoilgrass v. Miss Gould, the latter being defeated on the nineteenth green. Miss Braithwaite defeated Mrs. Bloomlield; Mrs. Bevan defeated Miss Cowper; Miss Gorrie defeated Miss Christie, all by good margins. In the semi-final Mrs. Bevan beat the Hastings representative (Miss Braithwaite), 2 up and one. Miss Snodgrass defeated the Aueklander (Miss Gorrie), two up, leaving Mrs. Bevan (New Zealand champion) and Mies Snodgrass (Westport champion) for to-morrow's final.
The 18-hole bogey handicap saw Mrs. Guy Williams 5, with an i>\-cellent round of 85—only one abpve, Mrs. Bevan's record—and she tied with Mis* Mill. Mi-:. Bevan (3) and Miss Snodgrass (7) were both 1 down.
Miss Jfartgill won the approaching and putting competition.
