THE LADIES' TOURXAMEXT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hastings, Last Night. The New Zealand ladies' hockey tournament opened at Hastings this afternoon in ideal weather. The first round resulted as follows:
Nelson beat Wairarapa B by 4 goals to nil.
Taranaki beat Horowhenua by 3 gulls to nil.
Hawke's Bay B beat Wellington by 2 goals to 1. Auckland beat Wairarapa A by 2 goals to 1. After a very good game Hawke's Bay A beat Wanganui by 4 goals to nil.
