"JACK AM) ,1i1,L." This famous J, C. Williamson pantomime, •which will be staged here 011 Wednesday and Thursday next, is Said to b? the most gorgeous spectacle ever presented in Australasia—which is a great deal to say in view of the magnificent productions for which Mr. Williamson has long been renowned. Songs, ballets', marches, catchy musical numbers, and' novel specialties are introduced i u profusion. Mr. Walter Xluuloa, as tile Giant Rooster, repeats a performance iu which he made "the hit" of the Hst London Lyceum pantomime. Then the e are Misses Morris' and Wilson in their clever animal impersonations; also the Giant Family, one of the members or which rejoices in a height of 17ft, a.-c among the endless novel features. Miss Stella Gastille, the principal boy, tomes to us with a big reputation built up in England and heartily endorsed by Australian and New Zealand critics. Misi Betty Ohls, another prominent member of the .company, established herself a warm favorite when in New Zealand with anothfer company some time ago, since when she lias scored an enormous' success in Sydney as the Merry Widow. The comedy is of a high order, and is principally in t'lie able hands of Mr. J. M. Campbell and Mr. Fred Leslie, but they have smart coadjutors in Messrs. Victor Loydell, Clyde Cook, Rupert Dar- * ell, «nd otlhers. The other.. leading meiubers of the "Jack nnd Jill" Company are all specialists in their respective lines. The pantomime is go filled with good things and so lavishly dressed and mounted that its record .success seems only natural. Box plans are now open at Collier's. A special matinee is announced for Thursday afternoon at 1.45, when children will be admitted to all parts of the house at half-price.
