L. A. NOLAN & Co,s REPORT. Poultry,—Owing to the very rough weather, we had only a fair entry last Saturday, about 100 birds being penned. Tke demand was good, especially for ducks. We quote: Hens' Is !)d to 2s Gd, pullets 3s to 4s, cockerels Is 9d to 2s, ducks 2s to 2s 9d, hens' and ducklings 7s Od, turkeys 3s Gd 'to 5s Od. Fruit. —Local apples' are just about over, and consequently the prices are improving. Prices realised are as follows:—kelson Stunners 9s fld to 10s (id, bananas Us Od to 9s, lemons 9s, passion fruit os. At the mart lines of shrubs, furniture, and sundries were sold at usual rates.
WEBSTER BROS. 1 REPORT. Mart.—At our mart last Saturday we had a good entry considering the state of the weather. Prices ruled about the same as the previous week, cockerels being in demand, the market for these being still unsatisfied. (Prices realised were: Cockerels, good 2s 4d to 36, poor Is 9d to 2s Id; pullets', good to 2s 9d, poor to Is 10dj purebred roosters 3s t3 3s 6d, hens Is lOd to 2s 4d, turkeys 5s to (is. We also sold 35 pairs of raboits' at Is per pair. .Slirubs and sundries realised satisfactory prices. Fruit.—Consignments have -been few during the past week, owing to the high price of Island oranges' and bananas. Prices realised were: Island oranges (repacked) 9s to lis; bananas, ripe to 10s 6d large cases, green 6s 6d to 7s Cd; mandarins 8s Gd to 9s, lemons' 9s to 9s 3d, apples 10s to lis, passions 5s Gd, peanuts 2%d to 3d; 'broccoli, local 3s 3d, Southern 6s 9d; pumpkins 2s 6d.
