A VESSEL'S PERILOUS EXPERIENCE f A PESSIMISTIC VIEW OP THE WARiATAH'S CHANCES. Received 20, 1 a.m. Albany, August 10. The Bannock-burn has sailed for New Zealand, en route from New York. Tlitcaptain reports that he left Durban two days ahead of the Waratah. They met with rain and a violent gale two days later, the vessel being thrown on her beam ends and only righted after the deck cargo of coal had been washed overboard. The captain takes a pessimistic view of the Waratah in view of his own experience.
