Pieces of planking found on the west coast have been identified as be■milling to the boat containing the missing members of the erew of the barque Orleans, which sprung a leak and foundered off the coast of Tanmania when hound from the Seychelles I lands to Dunedin with guano.' It is supposed that the boat was smashed in Hie surf and that all the inmates per-!-hed.
