LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Saturday Night. Entries are now complete for the ladies' New Zealand championship golf tournament (which begins on Wednesday), except for the post entries, A number oi competitors have already airived and were out on the links to-day. There art 49 entries for the championship, 06 for the medal handicap, !)U for the bogey match, 79 for ladies' foursomes, 77 for the Donnelly Cup, 51 for tile Coronation Medal, 04 for driving, and 82 for approaching and putting. The entrants for the championship include Miss Christie (the present champion), Miss Rattray (thrice champion). Mrs. W. E. Bidwcll and Mis'. Guy Williams (twice champions), Miss Stephenson (once champion). Among the district champion's are Mrs. Hevan, of Otaki (Manawatu champion), Miss Snodgrass (Hokitika. champion), Miss Campbell (Cliristehurch champion), Miss Brathwait (Napier champion), Miss Owner . (Wanganui champion), Miss Hannay (ex-champion, Wellington). Twenty-three clubs are represented. The links at llokowhitu are in excellent condition.
A golf match was played at Waitara on Thursday between the local c|jib aid Inglewood, and resulted in a draw, each ttani scoring six wins each.—Own correspondent. Owing to the bad weather on Saturday, the date for the completion of the third round of the Ngamotu golf championship lias been postponed till next Saturday. »
Members of the Carrivigton Road Club are trying to arrange to obtain the services of Clements, the professional conch, who is now giving lessons to Ngamotu players.
