POTATOES FOR AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. .Wellington, August 14. The Cabinet has decided to make representations to the Commonwealth Governments with 11 view of having the embargo on New Zealand potatoes removed under certain conditions.
ARBITRATION' COURT. I Wellington, August 14. 1 Until the vacancy caused by Mr. Brown's death lias been tilled, the Arbitration Court will not deal with industrial disputes or applications to add parties to awards, or cases which may involve the imposition of any penalty. The Court will, however, sit on dates already lixed for sittings in Wanganui, I'almcrstoii North, Napier, and Wellington, but will deal only with cases m which the parties consent to the Court as at present constituted exercising jurisdiction.
! MINISTERIAL MOVEMENTS. Christchurch, August R The Hon. G. Fowlds, Minister of Education, arrived from Wellington this morning, and left by motor car about eleven o'clock for Lincoln College, On -Monday the Hon. Fowlds visits the Burnhmn Industrial School, reitnrning to town on Tuesday morning, and leaving the same evening for Wellington. This was th 0 Minister's first visit to Lincoln College. He inspected the College farm, and had a conference with the director, Mr. Alexander, in regard to the proposal that teachers might be able to make use of the institution, with a view of improving their knowledge in agricultural science.
