BETTER COMMUNICATION. Tlie Northern Steamehip Co., in order to provide .a more regular connection frith Kawhia and Raglan than the present fortnightly service per Rimn, and r-ith the-present small trade, will probably in future allow the Rarawa to take passengers and. cargo to Onehuaga on Thursdays, for transhipment at Oneh'unga, on Mondays for Raglan and Kawhia per s.s. Claymore. The through rates', will be the same as the old direct rates. Passengers and cargo from Raglan and Kawhia will leave there per Claymore on Tuesdays, for transhipment at Onchungo-Wednesdays to the Rarawa for the breakwater. This arrangement will give a regular weekly connection instead of a fortnightly one as at present, and at the old rates, and should ?ivo more satisfaction. The present rade to these ports is so smalt that the ;Rimu has teen running it at a loss.
