1 THOSE MYSTERIOUS LIGHTS. By Cable.—l'fes* Association.—Copyright 1. t Sydney, August 10. Mysterious lights seen over the highlands at Mossvale at an elevation oI 2000 feet are supposed to be balloon or air ship lights. They were also witnessed! by f iwsscngers on the Melbourne Express.
Received 10, 9.9 p.m. Sydney, August 10. Goulbourn reports that a mysterious and very brilliant light was seen abort the ranges for several nights in succession. It circled at a considerable height back to the starting point.
MURRAY RIVER IN FLOOD. -Received 11, 0.40 a.m. Melbourne, August 10. The river Murray i» agate i„ flood. Considerable damage has been done to crops. Numbers ,of sheep have bean drowned. , AN ADMIRALTY CONTRACT. ' • Sydney, August 10. A Sydney Hrm has obtained a contract to supply the Admiralty with i 100,000 pounds of tinned mutton.
