WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is Rev. D. C. Bates' general weather forecast:—Westerly winds, strong to gale, are probable, generally with unsettled weather in all parts and heavy rain in Taranaki a-ad on tbe West Coast of the South Island. There are indications that the barometer will rise slowly in the South after a few hours. Conditions are unstable in the far north at present, but the change cannot yet be defined, though a fall in pressure is a very likely contingency.
