The trial match played on the racecourse ground yesterday afternoon was a tame exhibition as compared with the play-off between Carrington Road and New Plymouth last Ji'cpk, Several of the selected men failed to put in an appearance. The play was scraggy, with an entire lack of combination. Two goals were scored on eacli side. Mr. Bealc held the whistle.
