[ Prior to the despatch of the remans of (Sir Frederick Holder to Adelaide for interment, nn impressive State funeral i ceremonial was held in the chamber of the House of Representatives. A large gathering attended. It included the Ministers, ninny members of Die Federal and State Parliaments, leading militarv and other officials, clergymen and prominent citizens.

The President of the Methodist Conference, of which body Sir Frederick Holder was a member, delivered a short address. The pall-hearers included some of the Federal Ministers, the Hon. J. Murray, Statu Premier, and the Lord Mayor. Many messages of sympathy were received, including n message from the Hon. ,1. Carroll, on behalf of the Dominion of New Zealand.
