Junior competition.—Rev. Evans plays Dr. Blackley, J. B. Jack plays A. Goldwater, H. W. Stow plays J. Johnston, H. Fraser plays J. A. Hashun, C. A. Benbow plays G. R. Williams, iiyis: F, G. Kimbe'll, S. Burgess, K. Matthews. ' J. A. Clements, the professional, will arrive in New Plymouth on the evening of Saturday, August 7th, and will be. prepared to start tuition on Mondav morning. As the club is put to some expense by obtaining tte services of a professional, tlic committee trusts members will take advantage of this visit and book times at once on the sheet in the club-house. The secretary of the Inglewood Golf Club lias forwarded an invitation fir a team of ladies and men to visit Inglewood on Thursday next. Those ladies willing to go are'asked to notify Miv Standish not later than Tuesday internoon, also men wishing to go are asked to notify tnc match committee by noon on Tuesday. The ladies will probably ileave bv tne 7.40 train, and the n by the i 2.50.
