THE UNEMPLOYED.
POSITION AT CHRISTCHURCH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. A fairly large number of men seeking work made application for employment at the city surveyor's office this morning. The officer in charge of the bureau of the Labor Department here reports that numerous odd jobs have been ofi'e.-ed men by country employers, and that men on the Department's books have iiad .work offered them.
