Furnilurn Sale.—On Tuesday, at tlic mart, we .held a clearing furniture sale on account of Mr. .'i\ J. Broughton. Prices realised wove satisfactory. ■DAIRY PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs E. Griffiths ancl Co. are in receipt of the following butter market report from their London principals, M(Ws Mills and Sparrow, dated 11th June, 190!): Weather continues very cold and cheerless. Sunshine is badly wanted in the country. 1 Danish: Buying at the reduction was i free, and the quotation has been advanced two kroners (2s 4d). The "tinners" will soon be in the market and it will not surprise, us if there is another advance within a very short period. Siberian: Aliout (1500 casks have arrived this week, and the finest is clearing at an advance over last week, but the general run of quality is none too good. Next week arrivals are expected to total 10.000 or 12.000. I ( winch: Market is firmer. Quite a few orders remained unfilled' and an advance on best grades is to he expect ed, unless quantities show a material Increase, which is scarcely probable. Australian: A very much better fooling prevails and agents are holding the rew butters which arrived by the Marmora for full rates. >.ew Zealand: Last week, on account of the general depressed feeling, New Zealand was neglected, but in sympathy with other grades, prices have slightly hardened, and buyers are again showing interest.

_ Cheese.—Spot trade for 'both Canadian ami Xew Xi'uljiTiil is quiet, buyers sliowing 110 disposition to take hold of any quantity at the quotations ruling. Trade is of n consumptive character and limited. Cable reports from Canada are that receipts arc very liijlit. LOXDOX WOOL SALES. iDiilgety anil Co.. Ltd., report having received the following cable [message from their London house, under dale of tile 20th inst.:—lV 00l sales closed firm. As compared with closing rate of Inst series greasy merino wools of good quality and condition, crossbred wools (jSreasy), of fine quality, and greasy crossbred wools, medium quality, light condition free ov nearly free, "arc"all unchanged; scoured merinos and, line crossbreds are 5 per cent, lower, except short faulty merino wiools (scoured) which are spp r cent to 10 per cent, lower; greasy merino wools, heavy, earthy and wastv are 5 per cent, lower? crossbred wools of medium quality, and coarse crossbred long, light and'bright descriptions, are 5 per cent, lower; seonred crossbred wools, medium and coarse quality, and greasy crossbred wools, coarse, dingy and eotted, are 5 per cent; to 10 per cent, lower. The total net quantity available (including 10,000 bales not offered in previous selies) amounted to 152,000 bales; 0000 bales were sold to America, 75,001) bales for liome consumption, and 52,000 to the Continent, leaviijg Hi.OOO bales to be carried forward to September series.
