Mr Wilfrid Hall said it was a matter for gratification that the Government had to straighten out conditions it had itself created. Upon the last occasion of that sort the Government responsible for the tangle went out of office, Waving its successors to face the music. This (Atkinson) Government true* to clean things up, but got no credit for it* efforts, and just as tliin«s were ibeing got on to a satisfactory footing it went out of office.
