T London, July 20. In the House of Commons, the Hon. K. Mckcnna, First Lord of the Admir- , nlty, in replying to Mr. A. H. Lee, member for Fareham, said that the aub- ■ marines CI 1 and Cl 7 had improved safety helmets enabling the crewg to escape in the event of the vessels foundering. It was impossible to supply all the submarines before November. Jit. Lee stated that the helmets were i promised in May, 1908.
