EXERCISE OF DISCRETION ADVISED. . Wellington, Last Night. It is understood that Inspector Ellison held 1:71 informal meeting of the members of the h/gher grades of the police force to-day. at which reference was made to .Monday night's meeting of police, and the opinion was expressed that it would be well if members of the force acted with the greatest discretion in order not to prejudice the enquiry I now proceeding,, nor the status of the force in its relation thereto.
