I understand that D. Moir, who has been playing several matches for Eltham seniors this season, and caused the Clifton Club to protest oil the "round that 'lie was not a bona fide resident of Elthain—although the Union 'thought otherwise—left on Thursday vvening for the North, via Waitara, Moir having been picked to represent the Maniapoto Union on 31st July. Moir is a member of the llokauiti Club, which is affiliated to the aibove Union, having played tins' season for the Mokauiti Ok* on Bth May last. I believe that the Clifton Club, seeing that the Taranaki Union refuses to reopen the ease, will, in the interests of justice, publish tlu« correspondence the club possesses n-liich it had not the opportunity of placing before the Union at its last meeting through not receiving sufficient notice. The secretary of the club only received a wive nt 3 o'clock on the day of the meeting, and consequently had no time to arrange for the club's delegate to attend. The rotten-egg incident which the Clifton junior team was accused of by an article which appeared in a daily newspaper and also by two liiglnwood residents who stated that thev saw some of the team throw Hie eggs was investigated by the Taranaki Hu<% Union, and proved to ibe the work" of some small toys, and that the Clifton team was innocent in the matter. Seeing that the Union has fully investigated the matter, the club is now anxiously waiting for the individual!,' who made the assertion to publicly apologise for the wrong thev have done the club and team in question.
