COMMONWEALTH MAIL CONTRACT.
CLAIM FOR COMMISSION. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright London, July 18. Mr. Lawford, solicitor, of Tunhridgc Wells, sued the Armstrong, Whitworth Company for £20,000 commission, at the rate of 2'/ s per cent., upon the Commonwealth mail ships' contract. Plaintiff stated that he proposed the srncme to Mr. Deakin in 1005 and after obtaining his approval to it approached the Armstrongs. •Sir Richard Alverstone, Lord Chief Justice of England, decided that there was no case to go to the jury.
