STRUCK BY A STEAAIJSK By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright London, July in. A passing steamer collided with the submarine. Lieutenants Brodie and Watkins were rescued, but twelve were drowned. The submarine was proceed ing to the Thames for the approaching display of warships. Received July 10, 9.10 p.m. London, July 10. The cargo steamer Eddystone, bound for Hull, ran among the submarines at midnight, colliding with Oil. Simultaneously Olfl and 017 mutually collided in endeavoring to avoid the Eddystone. Cl 7 was badly damaged.
