Mr. .1. E. Armstrong, District Traffic Manager of the Railway Department, was in New Plymouth yesterday on a Hying visit. The Hcv. William Perkins has been unanimously elected president of the Wmloyan Conference, states a cable message from London. Mr. Robert Stout, son of the .Chief Justice, has just been appointed assistant demonstrator and bacteriologist at j Guy's Hospital, where he has beeu study.; ing for more than two years.
