Coroneted, Stayboy, Lingerer, and \ Waione leave for Trentham to-day. The Hawera quartette are said to be in the pink of condition for their Wellington engagements. The New Zealand bred Scddon, who has lately been termed an arrant rogue, was 111 good form at the recent Flemington meeting and won the Winter Handicap in hollow fashion. The Cunningham appeal case comes before the Racing Conference at Wellington oil Monday, 19th inst. Ml'. 11. H. Haye, secretary, will represent the Avondale Club.
lnehbonny has put in an appeaTancc at Trentham, but the Cnnterunryite is stated to be very backward, and can hardly be noted as dangerous for near at hand events. Southern Cross is galloping well, and, before leaving Riccarton, was jumping better than usual. Anent the V.R.C. Grand National Steeplechase, run last Saturday, t;ie Australasian says:—"An admirer of Corrigan—a man who rode with him—declares that in the days of big fences there was no man to compare with the late 'Tim' Corrigan in a steeplechase.
