A great feature of the Wood stock sales at Newmarket was the disposal of Sir Daniel Cooper's brood mares and foals. Thirteen lots aggregated 48440 guineas, including the mare "Hair," which realuved 15,000 guineas, a record for a brood mare. .The nun "Lathia" brought 0000 guineas.
