THE NORTH TEAM. The. following northern division players have been selected /or the North v. South matches, the first of which will be played ill Stratford on the 22nd inst.: Backs—J. Stohr, ]j. Stohr, Mynott (Tnkapa), Cameron, Dixon (Stratford), Dive, Potier (Kltiiam), Brown (Star). Brown (tnglewood).
Forwards.—Marchnnt, Bonner, KiveU, A. Smith, Melville (Stratford), Cain, De Blois, Loveridgo (Clifton), Levick, Charters (Eltham), Allen (Tukapa).
TO-DAY'S COMPETITION. The competition for the Sole Cup will he continued to-day. The matcnes have been arranged as' follows:—Civil Servants v. Hovers, on the Kjiccconr.se, and Guards v. Warehousemen, on the Recreation Grounds, both matches to commence at :i p.m. sharp. The following will represent Warehousemen:—Crockett, MdAllnm, Stonr, Dines, Barker, MacGerkinshaw, Johns, Richards, Eva, Arthur, McGonaglc, Lee, Boucher, Griffiths Harding. The Guards team will be:—W. Skipper, Rogers, Ross, Kisby, Mason, Jtdgccomhe, Bell, Walsh, Steele, Oaks, I.owe, Smith, Coker, Blydc, Boyd, Jones, Tickner, Morris.
The following will represent Rovers (Banks' and Offices) against Civil Service on the Racecourse at 3 p.m. to-day (players must lie on the ground hv 2.45 p.m.):—Pott, Monk, Webster, Siilwav. Dixon, Bocock, Grant, Osborne, Harl'e, Woods, Coker, Bollinger. Wright, S. Griffiths, and Power. The following will represent Civil .Service:—(Day, Kennedy, Harvey, Bailey. Tressider. Cox, Kilgou'r, Copestake, Soldon, G. Loveridge, Addison, Irving, Honeyficld, Loveridge, and Pfankuch; emergencies, Watson. Napier, and Riordan. Mr. Way will referee.
